Responsibilities

Kalen Karnowski specializes in providing audit, tax and accounting services to clients in a variety of industries, including the hospitality industry, construction contractors, professional service firms, manufacturers, and nonprofit organizations, with a focus surrounding mergers and acquisition. Kalen works extensively with both complex equity structured businesses and closely held businesses with strategic planning, management consulting, financial reporting systems, and tax and accounting services, as well as performing evaluation and due diligence services and reporting needs for potential target acquisitions. Kalen also works closely with businesses that are implementing, or have implemented, employee stock ownership plans (ESOP) at both a corporate level and a plan level.

Kalen also specializes in ERISA full scope ESOP and ERISA Sec. 103(a)(3)(C) audits for 401(k) plans for privately held businesses. In addition to providing client services, Kalen is actively involved in the hiring, development, and training of firm personnel.
